Will O'Neil is a senior at the University of Georgia pursuing a B.S. in both Atmospheric Sciences and Geography. He grew up in Woodstock, GA and attended Etowah High School.

From the age of 8, Will was fascinated with the weather. This all began on March 14, 2008 when a tornado hit downtown Atlanta during the SEC Men’s Basketball tournament. He remembers watching Glenn Burns and Brad Nitz’s wall-to-wall coverage on WSB-TV for hours that night, sparking his interest in meteorology.

Once Will got to UGA, he wanted to go into meteorology but did not know which sector he wanted to work in. However while working with the UGA Atmospheric Sciences forecasting seminar, Will realized he wanted to go into broadcast meteorology.

Outside of weather, Will is a huge sports fan and a diehard Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs football fan. He also is a huge fan of playing golf since he was on the golf team at his high school. Will is also a member of the UGA Club Ultimate Frisbee team. Will also loves spending time with friends and family.
