Student Meteorologist Erin Walker

Erin Walker is a fourth-year student at the University of Georgia pursuing a B.S. in Atmospheric Sciences and a B.S. in Geography.

Erin was born and raised in central New Jersey. Her passion for meteorology began when she could remember her first blizzard. Her parents often joke about how her brothers were putting spoons under their pillows hoping for snow while she would simply watch the incoming snowstorm on the Weather Channel’s radar.

Another monumental moment that piqued her interest in meteorology was when Hurricane Sandy hit New Jersey. The intense storm greatly impacted her area and Erin and family were without power for 5 days.
